14th Annual Christmas Dinner

The doors to the diner may be closed, but that doesn’t mean that Brenda has stopped doing great things for the community!

The 14th annual Christmas dinner for the less fortunate will take place on December 13th from 1pm to 7pm at the Trinity Lutheran Church located at 10014 81 Ave NW.

We are looking for corporate sponsors for the event as well as donations of food, or cash towards purchasing food for the event.

Donations can be e-transferred to: bsdiner@hotmail.com

We are also looking for entertainment for the event.  Musicians can also email bsdiner@hotmail.com for more information.

A big thank you to the community for those that have already stepped up to help out!

It is with great sadness…

It is with great sadness that I must announce that B’s Diner will be closing it’s doors at the Old Strathcona location at the end of February.

There has been a rental increase that is just too high for current economic conditions for me to justify going forward with another lease.

B’s has been a part of the Old Strathcona community for 14 years. The Diner is known for it’s annual charity Christmas dinner that helps feed the less fortunate, as well as community suppers throughout the year. B’s also has the “B’s Supporting Youth Foundation” which helps feed school children.

B’s Diner believes that no one should ever go hungry. This is apparent in the many people that it helps on a daily basis throughout the year. Even though the Diner will be homeless, it is our passion and commitment to continue serving dinners, as well as the annual Christmas Party at the Trinity Lutheran Church. I wish to thank Pastor Ingrid for supporting me and my family through all the good and bad times.

I took over the Diner as a sole proprietor, and started to make it on my own with a few loyal friends about a year ago. We were looking forward to a new menu launch and many future catering opportunities.

I will continue to search for a new location to home the Diner that includes parking. In the meantime, please keep in touch with us on our Facebook page, and the new website: http://www.bsdiner.com

I will be available to cater your next function and will be selling prepackaged frozen meals until a new home for the Diner is found. If anyone has a commercial kitchen that I can use please let me know.

I would like to thank all of my loyal customers over the years who have become part of my life and I will not forget any of you, but I will certainly miss all of you.

Tears rolling down my face as Im writing this.

Love Brenda
